Who We Are

ScenicView Academy, Inc. (formerly ScenicView Center, LLC) was organized in early 1999 and opened its doors in 2001. Concerned parents Ray and Tye Noorda had been searching for an establishment committed to the betterment of adults with learning differences while simultaneously encouraging a clean, uplifting lifestyle. After exploring all the available options, however, they struggled to find anything that would meet their child’s needs. Pondering the situation, the thought occurred to Tye, “If not me, then who?” This idea propelled the Noordas into building their own school where individuals with learning differences could discover their true potential. In their quest, they found many interested families and professionals who shared their vision. Facilitated by the support of other community partners, the Noordas created a unique residential and day program designed to “Remember the One”.

Built on 19.5 acres at the base of beautiful Cascade Mountain near the mouth of Provo Canyon, ScenicView Academy has a capacity to serve up to 80 students. As a residential school, it features 54 apartment and dormitory-style housing units for both male and female students, with staffing for an additional 26 daytime students. ScenicView Academy supports a values-based growth experience and admits students regardless of their religious preferences or ethnic origin.

As a non-profit organization, ScenicView Academy serves young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Executive Functioning Deficits, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia and other learning differences by helping them gain skills that lead to more independent and fulfilling lives. Thanks to the Noorda’s generous endowment and gracious donations from other community sponsors, scholarships are available to students who are unable to pay the full tuition.
