Bart Hopkin Bart is a graduate of the University of Utah with a Masters Degree in Business Management. His undergraduate studies include a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with minors in German and Arabic. Bart is now retired. He was most recently employed as the Assistant Director of the Cottonwood Heights Parks and Recreation Service Area. Prior to this, Mr. Hopkin held numerous positions before retiring from the Utah State Department of Human Services including: Director of Administrative Support Services, acting Deputy of the Division of Mental Health, Director of Management Services for the Department of Social Services and the Division of Family Services. He has also been the coordinator of Work/Vocational programs for the New England Resource Center for Occcupational Education in Boston, Massachusetts. He has served on Boards with the National Recreation and Parks Association, the State of Utah Rate Committee, the Cottonwood Heights Parks, and Recreation Service Area, and ScenicView. He and his wife have 4 children, and 12 grandchildren and several grand dogs. |

Doug Gale Doug received his MSW from the University of Utah and has practiced as an LCSW/ACSW for 39 years. His career has been spent in providing clinical services to youth and adults in both rural and urban Utah areas. Doug has had a special interest in program development and organized the first comprehensive mental health center in the Uintah Basin in the early 1980's. His career then moved to further program development when he worked for Wasatch Mental Health develop multiple housing options for individuals with chronic mental illnesses. Doug's career then switched to helping develop the program and services at ScenicView Academy under the direction of Lewena (Tye) Noorda from 2001-2015. Doug retired as Executive Director in June 2015 and joined the Board of Trustees as Secretary/Treasurer in that some month. Doug is married to Cynthia Hansen Gale, and they are the parents of two sons and are the grandparents of four. Doug enjoys playing golf, traveling, fishing, working in his yard, and doing family history work. Doug also serves as Chair of the Provo Housing Authority, but especially enjoys being retired and spending more time with his lifelong supporter and companion, Cindy. |
