Stay Connected
ScenicView Academy was founded with the charge to provide quality services at an affordable rate, and our students can remain eligible for services even after graduation! We offer a variety of services to alumni at a discounted rate based on space availability. Please contact our Alumni Coordinator to register. See svacademy.org/classes for course schedule.
Connect to:
- Social Activities: At ScenciView you likely experienced levels of friendship and connection you've not had in the past, and maintaining that same level of connection after graduation can be difficult. Next Level classes and activities provide opportunities for you to meet up with your friends, and even meet new friends.
- Level Up Classes: At ScenicView, you learned that stepping outside of your comfort zone, though scary, leads to exciting new experiences and skills. Our Level Up classes can help you brush up on your skills and continue to expand your universe ; trying new things in a supportive and familiar environment.
- Opportunities to Give Back: Relationships require both giving and taking. We all need each other, and SVA Next Level is always here to support you. That said, there are also times when SVA or your fellow alumni may need help from you. Give Back Activities such as mentoring students, attending panels, preparing for the Gala, or volunteering for AutCon are ways that you can support ScenicView and the autism community in Utah.
Next Level members are responsible for their own transportation.
Rules and Expectations
ScenicView Academy is committed to empowering adults on the autism spectrum. As part of this mission, SVA offers limited ongoing supports to our graduates through our Next Level program. Next Level participants acknowledge that they are a graduate of ScenicView Academy and are ending their status and services as a student.
Noise or Disruptive Activities
Alumni must be considerate of current ScenicView Students. This is their campus, and Next Level Members are invited guests. Next Level members may not interfere with SVA student programming in any way. This includes (but is not limited to) undermining SVA staff, distracting students during work or classes, monopolizing SVA staff time, expressing strongly negative opinions or behaviors, discouraging students from participating in SVA programming or activities, making excessive noise, or violating SVA policies.
Quiet Hours
Next Level Members are not permitted on the SVA campus past SVA quiet hours.
Prohibited Items
No weapons, explosives, alcohol, pornography, or illegal drugs are allowed on SVA property.
Risk Behaviors Policy
Behaviors that have a high potential to harm others in any manner are unacceptable. This includes all forms of physical, social, emotional, and psychological harm. While on the SVA campus, or attending Next Level activities, alumni should avoid the following Risk Behaviors:
Alumni who violate any of these expectations can be given a warning, asked to leave, given a temporary suspension or termination of their alumni privileges. Members who have concerns, complaints, or questions about these expectations, including any perception that they have been harmed by current SVA students or staff, should contact the Alumni Relations Coordinator.

Risk Behaviors Policy
Behaviors that have a high potential to harm others in any manner are unacceptable. This includes all forms of physical, social, emotional, and psychological harm. While on the SVA campus, or attending Next Level activities, alumni should avoid the following Risk Behaviors:
- Self Harm --Defined as causing, or threatening to cause, physical injury to oneself.
- Bullying and Physical Abuse -- Physical abuse or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. Bullying involves repeated acts attempting to enforce one person’s (or group’s) power over another person (or group) in order to create and exploit an “imbalance of power.” This “imbalance of power” may include social power and/or physical power. Any time an alumni verbally or physically attacks a current SVA student, it is considered bullying.
- Harmful Sexual Activity -- Next Level is designed to support sociality. However, sexual activity has the potential of negatively affecting individuals that are unprepared for such relationships. For that reason, Next Level members are prohibited from sexual contact, dating, or sexting with current SVA students, as this could distract from the SVA program and mission. Sexual abuse, sexual intimidation, and other illegal sexual behaviors are absolutely not tolerated. Publically accessing or displaying pornography is considered a violation of the inappropriate materials policy. This category is intended to include both sexual acts or depictions of sexual acts, real or simulated.
- Drugs, Alcohol, and Smoking -- ScenicView is a drug-free zone, and does not allow individuals on its grounds to take illegal drugs, drink alcohol, or smoke any kind of cigarette (including electronic). Bringing any of these items on campus or purchasing any of these items for SVA students is prohibited.
- Other Harmful Behaviors -- This would include anything not covered by the other four categories, such as theft, vandalism, chronic dishonesty, prohibited behaviors, or violations of Next Level policies.
Financial Responsibility
- Alumni are responsible to pay their own expenses for all Next Level activities.
- Alumni are responsible for any property damage or injuries caused while on the SVA campus, or while participating in Next Level activities either on or away from SVA campus.
- Alumni agrees to pay the costs of collection of any amounts due under this Agreement, including reasonable attorney’s fees and court costs if applicable.
