Live staff
Our Live Program emphasizes the daily living and lifelong learning skills needed to become residentially independent. Skills like: budgeting, cooking, personal hygiene, medical and dental health, laundry, cleaning, and transportation prepare students to live independently in the community. Educational support is also available in reading, writing, math and for getting a high school, college, or trade school diploma.
Amy Hurst

Amy Hurst Live Program Supervisor Amy Hurst has been an advocate for inclusion, access and equality for neurodiverse individuals for over ten years. As a parent of an autistic child, she sees great potential in everyone and knows the world is a better place when we welcome and make meaningful space for all. Prior to joining Scenic View Academy, Amy specialized in student rights within public schools, consulting, mentoring, and advocating for families struggling with the Individualized Education Plan process. Shifting her focus to transition-age students, she developed and led transition programming, finding a deep love and respect for students’ and young adults’ journeys as they transition out of public school and into the adult world. She developed a comprehensive workshop series with key information and resources to help families and individuals successfully navigate this critical time in their lives. Amy served on the Utah Special Education Advisory Panel at the Utah State Board of Education for four years, giving the board input on ways to improve special education in the state of Utah. She was appointed by Governor Cox to the State Rehabilitation Council and was a board member of the first Utah Higher Education Inclusion Alliance, a group of professionals and families working to make Utah colleges and universities more accessible and inclusive for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Amy also worked closely with the Utah Health Department and the Division of Services for People with Disabilities to ensure families had access to the programs and services they would benefit from. Amy has a degree in Communication, Public Relations and English from Weber State University. She loves to travel, cheer on the Utah Jazz and go to all the Marvel movies with her family. |
Ana Gonzalez

Ana GonazalezLive Skills Specialist Ana is a compassionate and patient individual, with over 8 years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum. Able to interpret non-verbal communication & appropriately assist individuals. She has a mindfulness diploma and uses techniques in her personal life. Ana realized that she could use it with students to give them peace & calm in their life's! Adept in methods to diffuse client frustration & anger. As a mom of an autistic child, she has empathy with parents and students and is always looking for student improvement. She advocates for the students in each area that is necessary to help them progress and keep them safe. Ana thinks that no one has a disability, that we all have the same potential, we just need to support those who see things differently. We need to give them love, patience and respect. She worked as a paraprofessional in special education, with severe, profound and mild to moderate autism spectrum. She loves working with students on the autism spectrum, helping them to progress academically, socially and emotionally. Ana is from Mexico City. She graduated in business administration at the University Del Valle de Mexico. She likes to go for walks in nature and enjoys reading. Ana is still in the process of getting Registered Behavior Technician and Coaching Certification. She is happy to be part of ScenicView Academy. |
Arielle Coffey

Arielle Coffey Live Skills Specialist Arielle is a military brat who brings her enthusiasm and love of laughter to work everyday. She has a B.S. in Health Education and Promotion from East Carolina University in North Carolina. Prior to coming to SVA, Arielle worked in Behavioral Health with adults and children with neurodiversities in both a school and community setting. Arielle joined SVA in 2020 as a Behavioral Support Mentor before she transitioned to the Live Program in 2022. As a Mentor, Arielle built rapport with students quickly while supporting their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. As a Live Skills Specialist, Arielle works with students while they create, develop and maintain the skills and systems needed for independent living. Whether it's cleaning, cooking or budgeting, Arielle is passionate about supporting and encouraging our students as they face the very real challenges of adulting. |
Josh Hill
Budgeting & Transportation Specialist x
Josh Hill Budgeting & Transportation Specialist Joshua is originally from the south. He got an associates degree from Brigham Young University in Idaho. He is still in the process of getting his Accounting degree. Joshua believes that ScenicView is an amazing place and that they are part of the solution. While at SVA Josh has done many different job duties such as being a driver, HSW, cooking and transportation specialists. However Josh really enjoys being a money management specialist and helping students practice self-control with their money and help them being disciplined with their budgets. In his free time Joshua loves basketball and in college he coached women’s basketball and won a coach of the year award in a intercollegetical basketball league. |
Julie Hillman

Julie Hillman Education Specialist Julie has a bachelor’s degree from Utah State in Speech Communications and a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Special Education with endorsements in Severe to Profound and Mild to Moderate disabilities. She was a paraeducator in the Alpine School district for 6 years and then taught at Centennial Middle School in Provo and Reagan Academy in Springville for 7 years. She received her certification in the Wilson Reading Program and became a certified Dyslexia Practitioner. Julie was also an academic advisor at the Heritage Community working with students on the Autism Spectrum in assisting them with their academic needs. She is a strong advocate for students with disabilities and is passionate about teaching. Her top priority is building a relationship with her students so they are prepared to learn. Julie is an avid traveler, birder, reader, writer, mother, nana, wife, and enjoys the outdoors. Julie is excited to bring her experience to ScenicView Academy as an Educational Specialist. |
Kelli Johnson

Kelli Johnson Educational Supervisor Kelli Johnson has a Master’s of Science in Management and Leadership MSML from Western Governor’s University and a BS in Elementary Education from Southern Utah University. She taught in public schools as a certified teacher for six years and is licensed in both Utah and Washington. She has experience with all grade levels and types of students. Kelli has worked at ScenicView Academy for 12 years. She teaches a variety of subjects, works as the Outside Education Specialist, supervises the SVA library, and is the Education Supervisor. Kelli loves getting to know each student as an individual and supporting them in the way that works best for them. As a mom of three kids and an experienced teacher, she appreciates each person’s unique strengths and challenges and believes that every student can achieve great things. |
Kim Seely

Kim Seely Librarian Kimberly Seely is from Ephraim, Utah. She graduated from Manti High School in 1996. She became a student at ScenicView Academy in 2015, and then graduated in 2018. She loves people and family history, and has a gift for remembering names and birthdates. Her family calls her “the connector.” When she gets bored or lonely her cat Sunny comes to her rescue. Kimberly is ScenicView’s librarian. The library may seem quiet at times, but she does many things behind the scenes. In addition to the typical librarian duties of greeting and helping patrons, checking items in or out, renewing items, putting books away, and straightening the shelves, she also collects suggestions for new items and helps with orders and processing new items. Additionally, she adds and removes patrons from our library system and keeps in contact with patrons through email so they know when books are coming due. She also makes monthly displays and processes library fines. Kimberly also enjoys supporting ScenicView’s clubs and activities and building relationships among staff and students. She is grateful for the opportunity to work at ScenicView! |
Michael Davies

Michael Davies Live Skills Specialist Michael comes from a background involving both Cooking and Special Education. After high school he started cooking in restaurants. Michael worked his way up from dishwasher to Sous Chef. He was trained by very honorable chefs and became a great Sous Chef himself. After running kitchens for a few years he decided to go back to college. Throughout the college experience he came upon the decision to study Special Education. He now has a degree in Special Education and a Minor in Autism Studies. During his time at college until now he has had a variety of experiences working with people with disabilities, mainly those with Autism. Michael has done ABA therapy, Educational Coaching at a College Level; worked as a camp counselor at a summer camp for individuals with Autism, and was a special education teacher for the last two and a half years. Now he blends his two passions together - cooking and working with students with Autism. When he is not working passionately here he is at home making art and drawing, playing music, traveling or in nature. |

Ralph Radcliffe

Ralph Radcliffe Live Skills Specialist Ralph joined ScenicView in 2013 after a long career in the printing industry and has held a couple different positions. He is currently a Live Support Specialist and enjoys teaching independent living skills to help the students progress towards successful independence. Through personal experience overcoming his own challenges in life, Ralph understands the students’ differences and the difficulties they face. He relates to the students and enjoys working with them. He believes in possibilities and beating the odds. Ralph loves his family and is passionate about basketball. He is competitive in all sports. He also enjoys watching movies and listening to music. |
Terri Timmins

Terri Timmins Education Specialist Terri earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical & Fuels Engineering from the University of Utah, all while raising four children. Her professional experience includes six years as a private tutor of K-12 and college students, including special-needs students, and nine years as a Process Engineer in the Personal Care and Nanotechnology industries. She is excited to once again be teaching and interacting with students at ScenicView. Terri and her husband have been part of the BYU Women’s Basketball Stats Team since 2007, and both love to travel. She enjoys Utes football, musical theater, journaling, reading, collecting sea shells, and spending time with her family (currently at 19 grandchildren, some of which travel with her). Zach Nuttall

Zach Nuttall Live Skills Specialist Zach found his passion for working with individuals with autism in 2018 when he started working as a paraprofessional in a severe autism classroom at a local elementary school. Throughout his time at that school, Zach discovered his love for teaching students with disabilities and helping them to progress and achieve their goals academically, socially, and emotionally. After 4 incredible years working with elementary aged students, Zach joined ScenicView. He looks forward to gaining experience working with adults on the autism spectrum and with other neurodiversities. His goal is to not only teach students academic skills, but also support them in life skills and independence. Zach hopes to be an advocate for the students at ScenicView, to learn more about their specific needs, and help them to understand their worth as an individual and adult in society! In 2021, Zach started his bachelor's degree program in Special Education (K-12) at Western Governors University. He hopes to finish his degree by 2024. In his free time he likes to take care of his 30+ house plants, watercolor paint, and go to Disneyland with his wife and 2 year old daughter. |
