Katelyn graduated in 2025 from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where she majored in recreational therapy, and minored in psychology and at-risk child & youth care. Through experiences like becoming a Certified Inclusion Ambassador and volunteering/working with many diverse populations, Katelyn has learned how to support all individuals as they are by focusing on their strengths. As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, she enthusiastically leads classes and one-on-ones focused on the Thrive outcome areas of social skills, leisure education, and resilience.

Katelyn was drawn to leave the midwest and join ScenicView Academy as she had never heard of anything like it before, and after completing her internship here she knew she had to stay! The positive environment fostered by staff and students empowers growth and independence, and is something she wishes everyone will have the opportunity to experience.

Outside of work Katelyn likes to run, crochet, hike in the mountains, read fictional books, and have game nights with friends. She also spends time with animals any chance she gets and is passionate about learning all the little interesting things about them.
